How To Define Your Body TypeAugust 27, 2021
Learning how to define your body type is essential when trying to lose, gain or maintain weight. Depending on your body type you can learn more about the tendencies of where your body loses or gains weight faster.
There are three main body types people have – the endomorph, the mesomorph, and the ectomorph. Knowing what your body type is, it’s extremely helpful in choosing the sport or exercises that work the best for you and your goals. There are types that people might belong to different categories.
Let’s get into details about each body type.
A person who has this body type has the tendency to gain weight quickly and finds difficulty in losing it. If your body is characterized by wider hips and a thick rib cage, then chances are you belong to the endomorph body type. If you feel like you gain weight just by drinking water then this is 100% your body type.
Having a mesomorph body means that you have more of an athletic build. This means that it’s easier for you to adapt your body to different sports and it’s much easier to lose weight and be fit than let’s say a person who has an endomorph body type. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t eat healthily. As you age your body doesn’t have the same energy and ability to go to its natural form as quickly as before. So don’t underestimate the power of eating healthy and exercising.
An ectomorph body type is a body that has difficulty in gaining weight and muscle. This body tends to be lean and has tall limbs. An ectomorph body is not a weak body whatsoever, it’s just a body built differently than the previous two.
Knowing how to define your body type is extremely important to my work and that is why I have created the wellness test where you can identify yours and start your lifestyle change journey. It allows me to carefully tailor a meal plan and fitness regime for you. However, I will let you in on some tips and tricks I use to better understand a body type. Hopefully, it will help you better understand your body needs.
When we’re talking about an endomorphic body type, we’re usually referring to a body that has a stockier bone structure and carries fat uniformly around the body. Mesomorphic body type tends to have shoulders wider than hips and has an overall very fit build. An ectomorphic body type tends to be a little bit more on the elegant side. Narrow shoulders and hips are a direct given.
Nevertheless, your body type can be a mixture of two different types and you have to find the right balance of maintaining that body healthy. I suggest you go to my website and take the wellness test to learn more and get into more details about your body.
